Pulp & Paper Industry

We have unmatched design intelligence that can provide product development and support.  At PIDNA, we can create new products as well as assist you with incremental improvements.  We offer great products that perform well in pulp and paper environments.

Fiber Reinforced Polymers (FRP) are widely used in the pulp and paper industry because of their reliability, corrosion and abrasion resistance, strength, low maintenance, affordability, and design flexibility, but the market needs are extremely diverse.

Our resins are ideal for use in the pulp bleaching process; they stand up very well in chlorine environments. Similarly, our products are ideal for chlorine dioxide and sodium chlorate mixing/storage tanks, caustic lime, sulfuric acid, brown water stock removal, and other pulp and paper applications.  In addition, our composites are perfect for spent acid and dump tanks, process vessels and chemical process piping, among much else.

THE FRP ADVANTAGE

FRP has a distinct advantage over metal alloys, such as titanium, and rubber-lined steel with lower installation costs, reduced maintenance, and long service life proven—with well over 10 yrs of successful operating experience at many plants/facilities around the country. More importantly, FRP is recognized as having superior corrosion resistance and abrasion resistance when compared to specialty alloy metals, in stringent chemical processing environments.

PULP AND PAPER APPLICATIONS

In the pulp and paper industry FRP are typically used for pulp stock lines, vent lines, chemical process piping, effluent pipe, catch basins, ducting, retention towers, multi-stage upflow and downflow towers, washer drums, vats, exhaust hoods, gas ducting and scrubbers, absorption towers, spent acid and dump tanks, process vessels, tail gas scrubbers, multi-stage filtrate tanks, stock and filtrate piping, and stacks.

Our strengths are inherent in our experience; comprehensive knowledge of composites and our precision capabilities.  We will design, manufacture and build for your chemical processing needs.  Our specialized resins are perfect for pulp and paper applications, such bleach plant effluent, delignification, high temperature, and weak wash applications—to name a few.
